WHAT IS ADHD?

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a common brain-based condition that affects how people focus, manage their energy, and control impulses. While it’s often diagnosed in childhood, many people continue to experience ADHD into their teen and adult years—sometimes in different ways.

People with ADHD may experience:

  • Inattention – difficulty maintaining focus, staying organized, or following through on tasks.

  • Hyperactivity – feeling unusually restless or constantly needing to move, especially in calm settings.

  • Impulsivity – acting quickly without thinking, interrupting conversations, or making snap decisions.

But ADHD isn’t just about challenges—it also comes with unique strengths. Many individuals with ADHD are:

  • Highly creative and imaginative, often thinking outside the box.

  • Energetic and enthusiastic, bringing passion and drive to projects they care about.

  • Quick-thinking and spontaneous, which can lead to innovative problem-solving.

  • Hyperfocused at times, diving deeply into tasks that truly engage them.

ADHD doesn’t mean someone is lazy or incapable—it simply means their brain works a little differently. With understanding, the right tools, and support, people with ADHD can thrive.

WHAT IS ADHD COACHING?

ADHD coaching is a supportive partnership that helps people with ADHD—kids, teens, and adults—build the tools they need to feel more confident, capable, and in control of their lives. Whether you’re someone living with ADHD or a parent trying to support your child, coaching is all about discovering what works best for you (or your kid)—not forcing someone into a one-size-fits-all solution.

Here’s the thing: ADHD coaches don’t show up with all the answers. Instead, they help you find the answers that make sense for your unique brain. That might look like figuring out how to stay on top of homework without constant stress, how to actually remember your keys, or how to stop feeling overwhelmed by your never-ending to-do list.

Through conversation, gentle accountability, and lots of encouragement, ADHD coaching can help:

  • Build routines that don’t fall apart after two days

  • Strengthen executive function skills like planning and time management

  • Boost motivation and self-esteem

  • Create calm out of chaos (yes, really!)

  • Encourage independence and self-trust

For parents, coaching offers a space to breathe, reflect, and learn new ways to support your child without power struggles or burnout. And for individuals with ADHD, it’s a safe space to explore who you are, how your brain works, and what success looks like on your terms.

ADHD coaching isn’t about “fixing” anyone. It’s about unlocking potential, building self-awareness, and moving forward—step by step, with someone cheering you on.
